Guiding your personal information on the internet is one of the crucial needs of today’s world. The constantly changing technology has made data privacy a major concern. January 28th is the Data Privacy Day, we have listed 6 basic tips that you must know and follow.

1. Strong passwords
The most commonly used password around the world is “pAssword123”. This practice will not cut anymore. i recommends using the password that starts with a phase of punctuation, and/or misspelling. You can even consider removing vowels and changing capitalization to add security. You can even try to build a strong password by using a phrase that you can remember and using the first letters of the phrase, interspersing non-letters.
2. Lock your devices
You must keep a screen lock for your device. Keeping a passcode, Touch ID or Face ID on your phone will make it difficult for the intruders to steal your information. The national cybersecurity alliance recommends all the smartphone users to enable a passcode.
3. Public WiFi
You need to be cautious about connecting your device to a public WiFi network. Breaching the privacy of these public WiFi networks is comparatively easier. If you have to use the public WiFi for some reason, make sure that you don’t enter any important login credentials like banking etc.
4. Know your settings
You need to know the settings of every internet service that you frequently use. Many times these settings can help you increase the privacy layer of your account. For example, Facebook lets you preview how your profile would look like to public, by checking the same, you can make sure that you are not sharing any sensitive data on your Facebook profile.

5. Don’t overshare informations
Oversharing the personal information on social media and other sites can be dangerous. Once the information is out on the internet, it is almost impossible to take it back. i suggest not to share so persomal info or pics the the social media. Its realy dangerous in other way.
